Chaining Switches - distance limit for 100BaseTx For 100BaseTx network you have a limit of 100m of twisted pair (segment length) then a switch, then 5m of twisted pair, then another switch and 100m of twisted pair. So without using a router the furthest apart 2 machines can be is 205m. 10BaseT will work further however. via PCPlus |
